Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioning Europe (MHIAE) announced on 13 May 2026 that it has added 10 kW and 14 kW models to its Hydrolution EZY R290 monobloc air-to-water heat pump range, available from June 2026. The larger sizes take the range into bigger homes and small commercial buildings, providing heating, cooling and domestic hot water with much lower carbon emissions.
Simple installation
Each unit is self-contained, with all the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit and no refrigerant pipework to the inside. MHIAE sums up the connections needed:
“Only two water pipes and an electrical connection are required”
— MHIAE
A built-in refrigerant leak sensor stops the unit and runs the fan to disperse refrigerant safely if a leak ever occurs.
Design
All models share an all-black casing with a silver vertical accent, styled so the fan isn’t visible from the side.
Performance and noise
- Flow temperatures up to 75 °C, thanks to R290 and redesigned components
- Reliable operation from −25 °C to +43 °C outside, without backup heating
- Dual vibration isolation, triple-layer sound insulation, a large fan and a low-noise mode
- The 14 kW unit (quoted by MHIAE as FDCW140VNX-P) has a nominal sound power of 63 dB(A), dropping to 57 dB(A) in silent mode
Accreditation and availability
The existing 6.0 and 7.1 kW models are MCS and Heat Pump Keymark accredited, and MHIAE plans the same for the 10 and 14 kW units, which supports eligibility for incentive schemes. As with all MHIAE products, the range is sold only through its European distributor network.
